“Our lives, our future, our solutions”

Calling all First Nations artists and aspiring artists in the Loddon Mallee region!

“Our lives, our future, our solutions” is the Loddon Mallee Aboriginal Reference Group’s vision for our first nations communities in Mildura, Bendigo, Robinvale, Swan Hill, Kerang and Echuca.

LMARG is a representative body of Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations in our region, and our vision reflects the importance of self-determination and strong, united Aboriginal voice and leadership in the region.

We are looking for a deadly talented local artist to translate this vision into an artwork! The winning artwork will be transformed into a brand identity for LMARG, including a logo, colour pallet and design elements which will be used across our website and all documentation.

The competition is open to Aboriginal artists living in Loddon Mallee.

FIRST PRIZE

$4,000

What will the judges be looking for?

Entries will be evaluated by judged by a panel of Aboriginal Elders from the LMARG communities, with advice from an independent Aboriginal art consultant who will be looking for artistic vision, visual impact, inclusivity, creativity and originality.

In addition, our judges will be looking for submissions that have an alignment with the LMARG values, that show a representation of strength through unity, that are inclusive of communities throughout the LMARG catchment, and that reference traditional techniques and cultural elements relevant to the Loddon Mallee.
